PERSONAL
Jörg’s passion for graphic and web design emerged during his schooling and
continued as a dedicated pursuit.
Following the completion of his general university entrance certificate (Abitur),
he enrolled at Hochschule Mainz to pursue a degree in media design,
specializing in 2D/3D motion design, filming, and editing.
Commencing his freelance career in 2013,
he focused on serving agencies and clients as a motion designer and editor.
In 2018, he accomplished his visual effects diploma at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg,
specializing as a vfx compositor. His contribution to the visual effects team
for the short film "Chocolate Man" led to a nomination
at the 17th annual VES Awards for 'Outstanding Visual Effects in a Student Project.'
Having acquired experience freelancing in Germany
working for reputable companies like Rise FX and Mackevision,
he relocated to Canada towards the end of 2021, joining Rodeo FX in Montréal.
In 2022, he headed to Vancouver to fulfill his dream of joining Industrial Light & Magic,
emphasizing his deep dedication to advancing his career in the industry.
